What I Wore: Linen Pants, Light Layers + a Few Questionable Days

This week felt like one of uncertainty to me. Do you ever feel off your style game? As if nothing you put together feels right? That was me. More on my takeaways, below.

Spring and early summer are great times to pair sweaters and shorts. I love this combo because it feels unexpected, fun and makes me feel like I am on vacation with the anticipation of warm sun in the afternoon.

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Sweater, c/o
Shorts, c/o
Sandals (these are definitely getting more comfortable)
Bag

This was my favorite from the week! Late spring also means busting out my favorite linen pants. Love the pop of color from the cardigan.

OUTFIT DETAILS:

Libby Sneakers, c/o – Use code 15ANDREA to save.

More linen pants! These are also from Only Child, which is no longer in business. I love the relaxed feel of this outfit.

Sunnies

This was the beginng of my style struggles this week. I put this look together, photographed it, and then decided it felt too ‘busy’ for me. But looking at these photos, it’s clearly not that busy. I think this is one reason why outfit documentation is important if you’re trying to hone in on or analyze your style. It brings a little bit of outside perspective.

To see what I wore instead, scroll down to the next image (BTW – I hated the outfit all day). It’s a small change, but it definitely wasn’t for the better. I think another part of better understanding your style is learning when to push through a little bit of discomfort because it means style stretching and growth and when to let that discomfort act as a style guardrail.

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Cotton Sweater (old)
Belt
Jeans 1 – TTS
Jeans 2, c/o – TTS
Clogs, c/o
Bag, Baggu

This is what I wore yesterday, though I ended up changing because it was raining so hard. (Light pants and heavy rain do not mix well.) I struggled again to style this outfit. The tee isn’t a good fit for me (time to let it go) and I am determined to keep trying to get these pants to work because I really like them. More to come on them.

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Jacket, c/o – Take your true size for a slightly oversized fit.
Carpenter Pants – I sized down.
Sneakers
Bag, secondhand, similar for less
