the Weekly Rundown: Minimal 90’s Spring Inspo + the High Cost of Fashion

ABLE is serving up some serious mid-century vibes with their new home goods selection. I love the terrazzo look! AND, some other news from ABLE, they just released extended sizing in a several of their best selling clothing items, including button down blouses, dresses, jackets, tees, sweaters and more! You can see the full collection here. (Use my code ANDREA15 to save 15%.)

ICMYI: Madewell is hosting their semi-annual insiders sale, where just about everything is 20% off. I have this pair of jeans on the way but I might swap them out for this lighter wash version! I also think the Louisa Crisscross Sandals are super cute!.

I am into button up shirts right now. I love them worn open over another shirt or tucked in. This striped version is one of the cutest I’ve seen; it’s the sideways pocket detail that does it for me!

This simple outfit is perfect for spring, and I LOVE this one because I’ve never seen anything like it. And THIS is my spring theme: minimal meets 90’s.

Five denim mistakes to avoid. I watched this a few days ago, and I keep thinking about it. There is a lot of good advice packed into this video, including why you shouldn’t buy your jeans too small. Plus, a look at some ultra stylish denim silhouettes.

A sobering read about the fashion industry and the planet, and the folks who influence people to buy. I have so many feelings about this. It’s so hard to marry a love of fashion AND a love of caring for the planet. My takeaway from this article is to renew my efforts to encourage less consumption (through re-mixing, repeating) and the importance of choosing well.

Dawson’s Creek: Where are They Now? A fun trip down memory lane. I forgot some of these people were on the show!

Are you following World Central Kitchen on Instagram? They are an on-location organization currently providing fresh, hot meals to refugees fleeing Ukraine. It’s a great organization to financially support. When the weight of world events feels like too much, it can be helpful to “look for the helpers.”
