the Weekly Rundown: Madewell Wants, Fashion’s Future + Black Women in Interior Design

Madewell makes me want it all. I love their new vintage jeans, the hole placement is particularly good. If Agolde’s price point is too steep for your budget, this could be a good alternative! I’m also very into the simplicity of this sweater set (cardigan + tank).

Want some tips for styling baggy jeans? Keep an eye out for my new YouTube video coming this Sunday. And I promise I’ll be back here blogging a little more once fall rolls in (and my kids are back in school). I miss writing and sharing in this space!

2020 Was the year that fashion had to pivot. Retailers scrambled to adapt to the way we all started dressing when we stayed at home. Now they’re asking what’s next, and they are taking a close look at places like TikTok and Instagram. This is a fascinating in-depth piece from the NYT.

I feel oddly glad to know I’m not the only one who may have emotionally shopped during the pandemic. Lo’s ‘bougie’ purchases are so interesting!

Sometimes I get tired of always wearing all black in the wet weather, so I’m considering this rain jacket for my very short fall wish list.

How walking changed this person’s life. Love everything about this.

One of my favorite podcasters interviews Gregory Thompson who co-authored the book “Reparations: A Christian Call for Repentance and Repair.” It’s a fantastic perspective any Christian who wants to better understand racial reconciliation should hear.

From the S+S archives: One Skirt, Five Ways, still love this skirt! Can’t wait to style some of these outfits. ASAP (heatwave pending).
