the Weekly Rundown: Food for the 4th + Why Time Can Make You More Stylish

I am very excited to celebrate the 4th of July and a long weekend! We are having a small-ish block party with our neighbors, the kind of thing I’ve wanted to do for a very long time. Community is everything my friends! And even better when it includes people of different ages and beliefs than you. I digress…

Here’s what I’ll be making: Herbed Potato Salad, Cowboy Caviar, and Cheesecake Bars with All the Berries (pictured above).

LO’s summer capsule inspiration is channeling all the sunset hues plus lavender and I’m very into it.

I recently bought these shorts in a second color (kale) and they are inspiring me to wear cute outfits right now.

If I could figure out a good strapless bra (any leads?), I’d order this knit halter top (it’s so chic!) and this blouse (love the print).

I kind of love this athletic take on the muscle tank.

Did you know that TIME can make you a more stylish person? I love how this video explains it.

And this one is for all Ted Lasso fans out there, 3 lessons we can learn from the fictional soccer coach about loving our neighbors well.

  1. I appreciate the idea that we should donate items if we don’t need the money and the money on the items have already been spent but the act of “un-buying” our possessions and the fact that it does take some effort like the article suggests should be something we remember to be more intentional about our purchases. A lot of donations cannot be processed or resold and so ends up in landfills or burdening other countries and is an easy way for people to continue the buy-purge cycle.
