Hi all! I am excited to share my first looks from the 10×10 Spring Challenge. I have decided to share them two at a time because I just don’t have enough hours each day to write a blog post. You can expect to see my 10×10 looks about every other day or so here on Seasons + Salt.
LOOK 1:
Black on black is probably the easiest way to feel cool. Not that I’m chasing ‘cool’ but it never hurts, right? Speaking of cool, it’s been uncharacteristically scorching in Portland these last few days!! I keep reaching for this skirt over and over because the cotton-linen blend is breathable and sturdy enough to hold it’s shape and character wear after wear.
This pima tee, a newer design from Everlane, is a great play on a basic t-shirt. The mid-sleeves give it a slightly dressier vibe and the fitted silhouette is a nice alternative to the slouchy t-shirts I normally wear. I love pairing tan with black, and these oxfords look really good with skirts and dresses. Normally I’d opt for a low heel or a sandal, but the oxfords give a tomboy edge and the color lengthens my leg line: win-win!
LOOK 2:
Something about the simple details of slightly mis-matched denim on denim hits a nice note with me. It feels effortless and relaxed. Huaraches are my favorite spring shoe because they feel like a flip flop but have the polish of a flat. After struggling with a pair that had stretched out, I finally pulled the trigger and bought a smaller size, and they fit so much better! They have molded to my feet and fit like a glove.
l love a good A-line silhouette because it provides a great balance to my shoulders. Obviously this skirt is a favorite, because it keeps showing up here. I scored it at Crossroads, but try this for a similar fit. Necklace is by BYCO, a wonderful Oregon designer. He is currently producing some amazing bar necklaces!
I am so excited to follow along in this challenge with some of my favorite blogger friends. You can see Paige’s 10×10 at Style This Life and Lee’s 10×10 at Style Bee. If you decide to join us, I’d love to hear more in the comments or over on Instagram.

LOOK 2: top, Everlane / skirt, Steven Alan via Crossroads (similar) / jacket, Levi’s / shoes, Nisolo / necklace, BYCO
Both these looks are so good Andrea! I officially need a good skirt. My favourite midi from last summer bit the dust so I’ve been on the lookout ever since. Great start to the 10×10! xo
You are so good at wearing skirts!! I need to do more of that. Very cute
