What I Wore: Knits, Linen + Green

As the weather has warmed up, I have been so happy to dive back into my favorite summer clothes. However, having more options sometimes leaves me feeling a little overwhelmed. This week I let my guiding rule be: keep it simple. I can save the experimentation for later in the season when I’m feeling bored. For now, I am focusing on creating simple, chic outfits that make me feel good.

One of these outfits I didn’t actually wear, but just styled, thought about wearing and then opted for something else. Can you guess which one?

There is something I love so much about pairing suiting-style pants with casual basics like a high neck tank and flat sandals. I think I would be happy to wear a version of this outfit every single week – weather permitting. It’s been cold in the mornings, so of course I am continuing to live in this cardigan.

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Cardigan, I sized down.
Tank, I don’t love this non-ribbed fabric, so I just picked up this one to replace it.
Pants, TTS, currently marked down! I love the fit of these.
Sandals, Birkenstock. Love the look of these, but trying to break them in. Maybe wait for a follow up report before buying!
Hailey Chain, c/o Llume
Sunglasses, Ray-Ban

If you guessed that this is the outfit I didn’t wear, you’re correct! But I am definitely filing it away for a future outfit idea. I am thinking a lunch date, barbecue, really anything. The linen pants help keep the one-shoulder tank from being too dressy. I love how this looks!

Tank, M
Strapless Bra
Pants, TTS
Sandals, Birkenstock
System Tote, c/o Cuyana

On the first real warm day of the year, I struggled with what to wear and ultimately settled on this, light, linen outfit.

Forage Linen Blouse, wearing a small
Shorts, last season (similar options linked below)
Sandals, Birkenstock
Bag, Dragon Diffusion

Libby Sneakers, I was on the fence about these at first, but I find myself wearing them *all the time*. They are a great warm weather sneaker! Use 15ANDREA to save. They run TTS.

This is probably my favorite from the week. The simplicity of the selection plus the interesting details of the individual items (bag with texture, shorts with unique distressing) add up to exactly the kind of outfit I like to wear.

Tee, TTS
Overshirt, c/o I’m wearing a small. Use code ANDREA15 to save.
Stella High Rise Shorts, TTS – They nip in quite a bit at the waist.
Crisscross Slide, TTS, These are breaking in quite comfortably!
Bag, Dragon Diffusion
Hailey Chain, c/o Llume

How much color is too much for me? That is always the million dollar question. Sometimes I love color and sometimes I just want neutrals. I took a risk and opted for this apple green knit top, and I hope I continue to love it as much as I do now. I feel like color, styled right, can *make* an outfit. Sometimes, even easier than neutrals can. This is an example of a super simple outfit, but the color adds an extra layer of interest.

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Adela Cardigan, c/o, M
Dad Jean, I sized down.
Libby Sneakers, c/o, use 15ANDREA to save 15%.
