Raise a hand if you consider yourself nosy. Or, in more polite terms, ‘curious’. Can you see my hand? I am definitely one of those inquisitive people. I am always interested in what’s going on behind the scenes and what other folks are doing. It’s probably why journalism school suited me so well.
But I digress! Let’s dive into today’s blog topic – your favorites! I am test driving a new series where I share the top five reader favorites – items sold and posts read – from the previous month. I was inspired by my friend Lee over at Style Bee who shares monthly reader favorites. I always find those posts so insightful! I hope you guys will be interested in seeing what other people are purchasing and which blog posts folks are connecting with.
Top 5 Best Sellers of March
According to my analytics these are the items that sold the best in March.
1. THE AIRPLANE CARDIGAN
Cozy and lounge-y, this one is hard to beat, and many of you agree! It’s super soft and perfect for weekends or extended travel. You can see how I wore it here. The black is sold out, but the remaining colors are marked down to a cool $68.
2. THE ALPACA WAFFLE-STITCH POLO
This is one of my favorite sweaters to wear right now. I feel like I am ready to show a little more skin for spring, but this sweater still keeps me toasty. The classic stripes are really hard to beat. And as usual, the lightweight alpaca is super easy to front tuck into jeans and trousers. I’ve even styled this with a pair of shorts! Super cute. See how I styled it here.
3. THE ’80S BLAZER
This is easily my favorite blazer I’ve ever tried (and I’ve tried a lot). It’s a bit of a goldilocks thing for me. It fits just riiiiight. As in, it’s casually oversized and looks great with my casual wardrobe. There is no fuss or boardroom-vibe about this. I wear it at least once per week. See how I styled it here and here.
4. THE DREAM PANT
These were a winter impulse purchase for me, yet I have worn them with high frequency. They FEEL LIKE PAJAMAS but read like cool pants. In fact, I think I may even try styling them tomorrow with that black oversized blazer, how cute would that be?? And maybe some dad sandals… See them styled here.
5. THE PERFECT VINTAGE WIDE-LEG FULL-LENGTH JEAN IN ELMONT WASH
I think the Madewell Insiders Sale helped drive the popularity of these, but it’s for good reason. This full-length, non-skinny denim silhouette is a breath of fresh air. The subtle stretch makes the thick denim comfortable and easy to wear, and the wash is just right. See how I wore them here.
Top 5 Most Read Blog Posts of March
Some old and some new, these were the most read blog posts of the month.
1. 5 Ways to Be More Satisfied With Your Wardrobe – This definitely needs to be a monthly read for me. I just read back over it and it’s reminding me to be more patient, especially right now when the weather is shifting from colder to warmer.
2. My Spring 2022 Capsule – Aka, what’s in my closet! I’ve been working on updating this post in real time as I add and subtract things from my closet. It’s so helpful to be able to look at (mostly) everything in one place.
3. Madewell Insiders Sale: What I Tried Out – I stand by these picks. I went with mostly classics, and they are excellent staples in my wardrobe, I especially love the t-shirt!
4. Agolde Shorts Review: Dee High Rise + Parker Long – This one is from last spring, but clearly people have shorts on the mind right now! I wore the heck out of my Parker Long shorts last summer, they are very comfortable and easy to wear. This year, I have my eye on these.
5. How to Style Wide Leg Pants – We are throwing it back to the archives for this one (thanks Pinterest!) but I still stand by these tips!
Thanks for taking a stroll through the blog and some fun analytics with me. I hope you saw something that got you excited for spring or motivated you to get styling in your own wardrobe!
