April’s Favorite Five

Well, hello. And welcome to the April edition of Favorite Five! In today’s post we are exploring the most popular items among Seasons + Salt readers in April, including purchases and most read blog posts. It’s always interesting to look back and see what resonates. I love when I see a blog post from a year or two ago picking up fresh interest again.

Top 5 Best Sellers of April

1. THE PERFECT VINTAGE WIDE-LEG CROP JEAN IN TILE WHITE

If white jeans are on your list for this season, I highly recommend these! I have them and love them, and it looks like you guys do too. They are very flattering in the shape and silhouette. They are made from thick denim with just the right amount of stretch and just the right amount of wide leg. I recommend ordering them in your usual size or a size up. White jeans always look best when they are a touch looser. You can see how I styled them here and here.

2. CANVAS PLATFORM CHUCK TAYLOR ALL STAR

You guys have seen these many times over on the blog, they are a favorite sneaker of mine; I like them even better than the original Converse. The platform creates more volume on the shoe, and makes them extra soft and comfy. These come in black and white, and you can also design your own! I sized down 1/2 size in these.

3. THE PERFECT VINTAGE WIDE-LEG FULL-LENGTH JEAN IN ELMONT WASH

For the second month in a row these guys are best sellers! Like the white jeans, these are comfortable and pack a super flattering silhouette. The leg is long, and wide, but not too big. I wear them in my usual size and the 29″ inseam hits right at my ankle. See how I wore them here.

4. STRAIGHT-LEG OVERALLS IN LUNAR WASH

I am excited to see these pop up in April’s best sellers because they’ve been a favorite in my closet for almost two years! I love the straight leg and cropped inseam, it creates a nice balance to the look of the overalls; they aren’t too tight or too voluminous on the bottom half. I can wear them with fitted tops or loose tops, or even oversized sweaters! See how I styled them here and here.

5. LEOPARD SLIP DRESS

For me, this is ‘summer in a dress.’ I bought it because I love the relaxed, slip-dress silhouette. I took it in my true size so it would fit me loose like it fits the model. I snapped up this comfy strapless bra, and together they make a great outfit. I’m a little surprised at the popularity of this dress because it’s a bit on the pricier side AND it’s not machine washable. I bought it because I honestly couldn’t find anything else like it. I love the statement it makes with the loose slip dress silhouette, it’s really hard to beat. BUT, recently I came across this dress, which is similar and might fit more budgets. (You can see how I styled the Jenni Kayne dress here.)

Top 5 Most Read Blog Posts of April

Some old and some new, and a carryover from last month!

1. 3 Looks: How I’m Styling my Wide Leg Linen Pants for Spring + Summer – I enjoyed reading back over this one, even if I am not sure it’s representative of my style anymore. I still appreciate the outfits (and I still own and wear the pants), but my tastes skew a bit less bohemian now.

2. 3 Non-Denim Outfit Ideas for Spring – I suppose this would be the example of my spring style these days! I love all these outfits so much.

3. Dress Season – This frock deserves more time on the blog! Expect to see her more often as soon as the weather warms up (I’m looking at you rain!).

4. Agolde Shorts Review: Dee High Rise + Parker Long – This review keeps the #4 spot this week. It must be shorts shopping season! You can also watch my YouTube review for more info.

5. Spring Staples From Everlane – If you’re looking for some fun and easy ideas for sprucing up your spring outfits, look no further. In this post I’m styling a cropped button up, barrel leg pants and more.

Thanks for taking a stroll through the blog and some fun analytics with me. I hope you saw something that got you excited for summer or motivated you to get styling in your own wardrobe!
