The Weekly Rundown: Last Minute Costume Tips, a New Book from RHE + Our Climate Shadows

Life is made up of ordinary days, doing ordinary things. Are we always wishing for more or do we find the beauty in the ordinary? I was very inspired by this post.

Did you guys know there is a new book by Rachel Held Evans, being published posthumously next week? The New Yorker wrote a beautiful tribute of her life and work.

We all know about carbon footprints, but what about our climate shadow? This might be a better way to gauge our impact on the climate crisis.

No Halloween costume? Here are a few last minute, sustainable tips, and a great reminder to be CREATIVE.

A week of bold, colorful outfits from the English countryside. I love the creativity of these!

This super simple outfit would be perfect for a dry, fall day. (I love the brown on brown.)

Tips and tricks for keeping your style during pregnancy. So much cute inspiration here, pregnant or not!

Coat season is in full swing, and I LOVE all the black and white jackets. This teddy-esqe one in a window pane print looks ultra cozy, this plaid one looks extra regal, and I can’t get this herringbone jacket out of my mind.

Jemar Tisby’s reflections on Colin in Black and White just moved this limited series to the top of my Netflix watch list.

And lastly, I’m so very excited for new music from Macklemore!

I hope you have a lovely weekend!

PS – I have a special 3-day discount code to Freda Salvador! You can use ANDREABOOT20 to save 20% on their seasonless collection through November 3rd. My favorites are the EMI and the Brooke and I wear a 10 in both. :)

  1. I am really into coats right now, too! Also thinking of a herringbone one, and a quilted one, and a pseudo shacket. Too many good ones out there. I am having a hard time rationalizing what a reasonable number of coats are 🙃

    1. Same! Why are we so drawn to coats? Probably because it’s so cold, haha! And we need so many for so many different weather types!
