MY TOP 5 FALL FAVORITES FROM EVERLANE

Cold days, colorful leaves and pumpkins everywhere mean we are definitely in the thick of fall, aka layering season! Today on the blog I’m rounding up my top five favorite, fall items from Everlane. Some of these are new releases and some have been around for a couple of years. But all of them are perfect for wearing this time of year.

This post is sponsored by Everlane. All concepts, thoughts and ideas are my own.

I’m thankful to be an ongoing partner with Everlane for a handful of years now. This means I often get previews of releases ahead of time, access to PR samples of clothing, and that I am involved in paid work with them. And with all that, I still find myself regularly shopping and buying from them. Everlane has wardrobe basics dialed in so well. Their items are made with quality fabrics (think: organic cotton, 100% wool, top grade cashmere) and are often a little more chic and cool compared to similar items you’ll find on the market.

In this post, I’m sharing my top five items for the season. It was very hard to narrow it down to just my top five, but here goes!

1. The Renew Long Liner in Kalamata

ReNew Long Liner (M), c/o | Oversized Alpaca Crew (M), c/o, circa 2018 (more on that below) | Way High Jeans (27) | Sneakers (similar)

This is the fall jacket I never knew I needed, I have worn this baby so many times since I got it. It’s totally chic but still 100% practical. I can wear it over a variety of sweaters and sleeve shapes because it has a slightly oversized fit. It’s quite warm due to the length. And I never feel ‘over the top’ when wearing this to school pick up, the grocery store or a soccer game. I LOVE this jacket. If you have a long trench or a long overcoat, this would be great to layer underneath that as well. Long live long coats! They are so cool and practical. This coat also comes in Cinnamon (among other colors), which I have to talk myself out of buying on a daily basis.

2. Felted Merino Half-Zip Sweater

Felted Merino Half-Zip Sweater (L), c/o | 90’s Cheeky Jeans (27), c/o | Bag (YT review here) | Sneakers (similar)

When this sweater came into my life, it very quickly earned its way to ‘front and center’ of my sweater shelf. It’s made from merino wool so it’s extra soft (feels almost like cashmere to me), and it’s *thick and warm.* I decided to try it in a size up for some extra shape and drape and I couldn’t be happier with it. The zip neck feature is obviously very ‘of the moment’ and I think it looks fresh and modern. But that feature is also equally as functional! It means you can wear the sweater two ways: with the collar all the way zipped up to keep the chill out, or you can unzip it and lay the collar down if you’re a tad warm (or want to show off some collar bone). This feature also makes it really easy to take this sweater on and off without tussling your hair and makeup. This is my favorite sweater when I don’t know what to wear or want to feel cozy and relaxed on a weekend. Note: it does pill a bit, but it’s nothing a sweater comb and some regular maintenance can’t take care of.

3. Oversized Alpaca Crew

Oversized Alpaca Crew (M), c/o | Pants (similar) | Sneakers (similar)

This has been a LONG TIME favorite of mine! I was digging through my blog archives and I think I first shared about it in November of 2018. I am wearing the same exact one in the pictures with the ReNew liner. This season they came out with an amazing striped version of it! It’s beautiful! But I love my solid color versions of this sweater just as much. I wear them ALL fall and winter. I am a big fan of these sweaters because they are: soft, warm, lightweight, and have really great shape and drape. The sleeves are bloused, which looks so pretty in the winter paired with jeans and boots. Keep in mind, the blousey sleeves make these sweater a little trickier to fit under fitted blazers or slim fit jackets. But for the purposes of coats, shackets and oversized blazers, they usually work great. I wear one of my oversized alpaca crews at least once per week, if not more. My favorite colors are the heathered black, warm taupe and the red tonal.

Note: these are currently on flash sale today only for $75!

4. The Oversized Shirt Jacket

Shirt Jacket (M) | Top: Pima Turtleneck (M) | 90’s Cheeky Jean (27), c/o

This is a wonderful take on the ‘shacket’ trend because it’s a bit elevated and refined. I love shackets because they just say ‘relaxed’ to me. I particularly like how this one combines that vibe with a bit of a refined feel. It’s more structural-looking and tailored. I think it’s the covered buttons on the pocket flaps that seal the deal. This is a great item to swap in for a cardigan when you want something warm, but equally as comfy. This jacket is 100% cotton and machine washable. I just bought this, so I haven’t worn it a ton, but I’m excited to style it for you guys in more ways over the fall and winter. (I think it would look super cute with this matching turtleneck!)

5. The Way High Jeans in Deep Atlantic

Lofty Knit Cardigan (M), c/o | Way High Jean (27) | Sneakers (similar)

These jeans have been a sleeper hit for me. I first got them in the late winter/spring of this year, and I didn’t know what to make of them. I didn’t love them, but I did find them comfortable. Toward the end of the summer I realized the wash I had wasn’t working for me and instead the Deep Atlantic would work better. I bought these and I haven’t looked back! The deep wash pairs so well with neutrals AND richer colors. This pair also has a finished seam, which I prefer on this length of pant because it helps keep some of the width at the bottom of the leg. These have a super high waist so almost anything looks great tucked in. The denim is thick and more traditional, but it also has stretch to keep things comfortable. And best of all, these pants are loose on my thighs and calves, which feels SO GOOD.

I wanted to show you guys how these pants look with sneakers AND boots, so note the sneakers above and the boots down below. They look great both ways, huh? The Way High Jean also comes in a super dark rinse wash which looks quite chic AND a light wash (among other shades!).

Runners Up:

As I mentioned, it was hard to slim this list down to five, so below are a few items that came close.

1. Long Mac Coat – I didn’t put this on the list because I haven’t actually tried it yet, but it’s in my cart now! I am intrigued by this because it looks very wearable just like the ReNew Liner. I love the length and that there is no belt to fuss with.

2. Wool BlazerI have two wool blazers from Everlane and they are the best I’ve ever seen for this price point. Very well tailored and beautiful. They still sell the Glen Plaid one I have (but it’s not restocking until February), and I think the herringbone is super cute too! Makes me day-dream about cozy fall days in coffee shops.

3. Pima Micro-Rib Scoop Neck Tees – I have FIVE of these in my drawer and I wear one almost every single day as my base layer. I cannot recommend them enough. They are perfect for under sweaters! (Keeps sweaters a bit fresher too!)

And lastly, I’ve completely updated my Everlane picks page! If you want to see a curated collection of my Everlane favorites – most of which I own and wear – all in one place, feel free to check it out.

  1. I really love the long liner— Been eyeing the cinnamon one! I have the 90s cheeky jeans in bone and that cut has been feeling so perfect to pair with boots for fall/winter. I might need a blue wash— love them on you. Also been curious about the way high jeans too. I need dark wash denim!
