STYLE SESSION: Light Tan Loafers

I’ve got another impromptu-style session for you guys today! This is a follow-up to something I shared on Instagram stories today. I like to create blog posts when I do these sessions because it helps to have all the photos, links, and info in one place.

Today’s session features the Millie Loafer by ABLE. I received these as part of a paid partnership for Instagram and decided to share them here too just for fun. These are made from soft, suede leather, and they are leather-lined on the inside too! They are handmade in Brazil. I sprayed mine with a leather protectant to help them stay clean. They look pretty light in the photo but are closer to a light tan in real life. I am wearing a size 10.

1. White Tee + High Rise Jeans

I love a classic jeans-and-tee outfit, and I also think it’s the perfect touchstone for seeing if a new item works in my closet. I love this subtle, understated ensemble. These loafers are a great casual (but not too casual!) addition to what I’m wearing here.

2. Tonal Top + Pleated Pants

The next option I wanted to try was these pleated pants of course. They are so fun to wear. I like the way the slim shoes contrast the voluminous pants nicely. I think this outfit would also be cute with a white tee, or a white sweatshirt.

3. Supporting Star to Layers of Green + Arc Pants

This is a bold and experimental outfit for me: layered greens, oversized top plus arc-shaped bottoms. There is a lot going on, but I am into it, and I love having fun with my clothes. These loafers are a great finisher to this outfit because they are the perfect support for the other bold items. They are streamlined and cohesive without competing with the other elements.

4. Greens + Distressed Jeans

This outfit is my happy accident! I switched out my bottoms before changing the top and I loved it so much I decided to include it. In fact, I also like it so much I decided to wear it the next day!

5. Dressed Up

For my final look, I paired a crisp white shirt and distressed jeans. I like that the top and shoes feel ‘dressy’ and the jeans feel casual, and I think the distressing on the jeans makes the outfit more interesting.

TAKEAWAYS:

1 // The Millie Loafer is very easily dressed up or down. It works well with both casual and dressier outfits.

2 // The Millie works really well in a simple outfit, but is also excellent as a ‘supporting cast.’

3 // The Millie is soft and comfortable to wear.

4 // You may want to consider spraying a protectant on to help keep the light color clean.

  1. I love the square toe, feels fresh! Also fully obsessed with your jeans in the first look! Like a nerd I literally gasped when I clicked and saw they are the ribcage jeans! Haha. I’ve been wanting to try them and this wash looks incredible! Really love all the outfits in this post!

    1. Ahh Michelle, you are such a jeans junkie, just like me!! I found these in store at our local Levi’s shop, I love the color and the length! This is the second pair of ribcage jeans I have tried. The first pair was too short, these are the longer (29″) inseam and I love the length. These jeans are TIGHT though. They sales person said they would stretch a full size though, so I am in it to win it!

      1. Oh my goodness, I so am! Ah so good to know! I remember we are the same height and I wondered about the length. I almost always grab my Levi’s from their website since they offer multiple lengths. Our only local store is an outlet, so they do not usually carry the premium styles, which is a bummer!
