How can you get sexy legs in two minutes?
Buckle on a pair of neutral clogs! Seriously, easiest ‘cheat’ tip ever. I am not sure what I did before these shoes. I wanted a similar style last summer (but had no clue there were so many affordable Swedish clog options out there) and the wait was worth it! I feel like I’m winning every time with these bad boys. ;) I get that the general idea behind heels is to make your legs look good, but I just don’t have time or interest in most traditional heels. Not to mention, I lead a pretty casual life. Clogs = casual + leg lengthening. I’ll take it.

As I said on Tuesday, I love dressing in simple outfits. I loved Ann’s comment noting that, though these looks might appear simple, they’re still complex. And it got me thinking, how do you be intentionally simple? I love simple outfits, but I never want to come across as boring, or unconsidered. So where do we digress from simple to basic? And conversely, where do we upgrade from jeans and a t-shirt to simple statements?
I don’t have the answers yet, but I’ll be mulling them over.

With a simple addition, this dress seamlessly lends itself to another look. For look number three I styled it with a shirt underneath for a cute tomboy look. Add a loose blouse on top, and it brings a whole new look. That makes three entirely different looks with the same dress.
It’s the little things that make me happy.
Just a note, my lovely editor is out of the office at the moment, so go easy on me if you see any errors that need to be fixed. But certainly, don’t shy away from letting me know.

So pretty! You are making me want to buy a pair of clogs. I haven’t had the best luck with clogs in the past since they are heavy and tend to hurt my back…….but I’m almost willing to give them another try. We will see if they are still big next year and I may pull the trigger.
Keep me posted Rebecca! I find these ones to be pretty light, perhaps it comes down to the wood? Thankfully, there are a lot of wonderful Swedish-made options these days.
You’re getting so creative with that raw silk top! I love how you’ve styled it in these photos.
Thanks Erin! A shirt like that would be perfect for your climate! ;) I’m worried it will be too chilly for the fall – we shall see. Hope you’ve been having a lovely weekend.
i so wish i had seen this everlane dress when it was available, you are killing it! and i agree with erin’s comment, you’ve found some great styles with the j + j top!
Thanks Lizzie! I do really like this dress, maybe you can catch one on Poshmark or Ebay??
