The Thrifted Trench
I’ve been crushing on big, oversized trench coats for a while now, and I am thrilled to say I scored big at the thrift store a few weeks ago! I was willing to buy new, but I wanted to try and find a vintage one first because I love that the older ones generally have a bigger shape, thicker fabric and many have a zip-out wool liner. And I got so lucky to find this one that fits all of those traits! It’s by London Fog and my guess is that it’s several decades old because it was made in the U.S.A. It’s marked size 10, but it seems to fit smaller than that by today’s standards, it’s closer to an 8 or an ‘oversized’ 6.
I wore this outfit yesterday, and it was perfect for our chilly spring weather, and a day of running around. I felt comfortable, confident, and warm!
