The Small Top
According to the Law of Fashion™ as pant styles get increasingly bigger (think: mom jeans, baggy jeans, full-length jeans), shirt styles get increasingly smaller. We saw the the inverse of this happen when skinny jeans were all the rage and we wore our beloved oversized tops. I suppose it’s a recipe for balance.
I’ve noticed I reach for slim tees, tucked in tops, even slim-fit cardigans to help my loose 90’s jeans feel balanced. Baby doll tees and cropped cardigans seem to be popular too. And nobody thought the 2000’s were going to make a fashion comeback, did they?! I certainly didn’t. And here I am, in my platforms. (Insert mock-shocked face.)
