No Hard Pants

I love jeans almost as much as I love life. BUT, when the weather gets warm, I love to wear everything in my closet that is not jeans, aka all the soft, elastic waist pants. These wide pants from Lauren Winter are a perfect example and, I’d wear them year-round if it was warm enough. (And for much of the pandemic I did anyway because I stayed home.) These pants have a long, influential history in my wardrobe. They felt so bold when I bought them, and they have influenced many outfits and future purchases of mine. To me, their statement-making shape makes them timeless. I hope I’m still wearing them when I’m sipping coffee in retirement.
