Style Session Ft. My Recent Favorites from Everlane

This is the time of year where I tend to get *really bored* with the same outfit combinations I’ve been wearing since the weather got cold. (I mean, how long can one wear jeans and sweater combos without needing a change of scenery?) But do you know what follows boredom? Creativity and innovation!

Today’s post is the fruit of a style session with a handful of favorites from Everlane (some new and some older). After mixing and matching, I came up with seven outfits I love. To see them in motion, check out the companion Reel over on Instagram.

This post is sponsored by Everlane. As always, all thoughts, ideas and opinions are my own.

Outfit 1:

This outfit is allll about the comfort and cozy factor. I bought these Dream Pants on a whim in December (the stripe hooked me!). And when they arrived, I couldn’t believe how much I liked them. They feel like sweatpants but look like a tidy trouser or a fancy track pant. They are totally different from everything else in my closet and super fun to experiment with. I love wearing them with sweaters, and this collared and striped sweater is an extra fun twist.

Outfit 2:

A switch of pants + shoes = a new look. These are the new, colored Way-High Jeans, and I love the bootcut-esque fit. They are thick, soft and a little bit stretchy. I’d recommend taking your true size or size down if you’re in-between sizes. A bold-colored pair of pants brings so much interest to an outfit!

Outfit 3:

I swapped the sweater for a boxy tee and an 80’s blazer and this outfit feels all kinds of chic and fun. The chunky boots make it feel very ‘everyday’ but you could swap out for heeled booties for a more elevated feel.

Outfit 4:

This is my favorite of the bunch!! I love the pushed up sleeves with the dirty sneakers, it makes this blazer feel art-director-chic! And the canvas tote and white socks add another layer of casual.

Outfit 5:

I changed out my jacket and shoes for a totally different look. I wanted to contrast the casual jacket with dressier shoes and bag. I’ve been wearing this wool bomber a lot and it has been really fun to experiment with. I love wearing it with sweatpants and sneakers too!

Wearing: ReWool Varsity Bomber (I sized up), Box Cut Tee in Medium, Rigid Way-High Jeans in Long, Boots, older style from Everlane (I think the Glove Boot would be even cuter) linked on my Everlane Collections Page.

Outfit 6:

This is another case of making my clothes feel more fun by sizing up. My sweatshirt is a large, and I love how it fits loose and long. It looks super cute with a turtleneck underneath it too. I love wearing casual outfits like this for running out the door to take my kids to school or on a relaxing weekend. Little details like an oversized fit or tall athletic socks can go a long way to make an outfit feel a bit more fresh and fun.

Outfit 7:

Matching sets are all the rage and I AM NOT IMMUNE! I am here for it. Sweatpants included. For me, it’s the understated lettering that seals the deal. It looks so chic. And, anytime you add a trench to an outfit it increases the chic factor, even sweatpants. Also, this is a blessedly comfortable outfit. You’re welcome.
