Yesterday I had such a fun-filled day that I actually forgot to take a photo! I think that’s a first for the 99 Days of Summer Style series. I was celebrating my oldest’s birthday with her and her friends, and was very busy roller skating and going out to Thai food. It was a hot and sweaty day filled with equally-toasty activities. To stay cool and comfy I wore this jumpsuit, and these sandals when I wasn’t roller skating (don’t worry, I brought socks).
Today, we took a little stroll through downtown after church to water the plants at hubby’s office and I found my perfect OOTD wall.
I really like the way this shorts outfit came together. I am definitely favoring shorts this summer, for the first time in a very long time. I like the vibe more than dresses right now, which means many of my summer frocks are sitting dormant this season. But, who knows how I will feel next year.

I feel like I go through phases with dresses. I have moments of just wanting jeans/shorts/separates, and moments where I NEED dresses. I feel like I’m learning that one of the #1 truths about my style is: I LOVE OPTIONS. Which, you know, is definitely in contradiction with my wannabe minimalism. Who am I kidding, I will never be a minimalist lol!
