What I Wore: 7 Looks, 3 Work, 3 Casual, 1 Going Out

Hi all! I’m still here! I’ve fully stepped into my new role as a real estate agent in Portland, and I love it. But gosh, it’s keeping me busy, so much learning/onboarding going on. It’s all incredibly interesting and fun to me; I feel very fortunate to be able to take a professional pivot like this.

But I know you guys are here for the outfits, so let’s get to it! As the title says, this post includes a mix of outfits, and I am excited to finally start sharing some more business casual looks with you guys, including The Pair of Pants.

I’m keeping myself honest by sharing this photo. I don’t love this outfit, and I guess it’s a reminder that we don’t hit it out of the park each time. I noticed in the last week my at-home outfits were a little bit uninspired. I think I used all my styling energy for my office outfits!

We went out to dinner with our longtime friends (including one who I work with now!) and I was determined to wear something beyond my usual jeans. Felt like a million bucks in this one.

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Jacket, Veda via Poshmark
Dress, c/o
Boots, c/o

My first day in the office as a broker and I managed not to overthink what I wore! Big thanks to Brass for creating amazing workwear clothing. I got this top and pants back in the summer and they are perfect for business casual days.

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Jacket, c/o (a few seasons old, linked to similar)
Top, c/o Brass, sold out
Sailor Pants, c/o – save 15% with code: ANDREA_HARTMAN_
Shoes, (9.5)
Bag, c/o

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Sweater, older from & Other Stories

This look was a highlight for me! The pants are a touch too skinny for my taste, but this shirt is perfect for work because it’s so easy to wear (and wash!). The shoes are part of a collaboration with The Office of Angela Scott and they make anything I pair with them look good.

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Blazer, old (similar here)
Shirt, c/o
Pants, c/o
Shoes, c/o

I’m so mixed on these jeans. They are soft and comfortable, and I love that they are full-length, but I was looking more for a shape like this, which has felt impossible to find (despite trying what feels like dozens of pairs!).

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Sweater, c/o (LOVE!)
Jeans (I sized down)
Shoes, c/o
Bag, (linked to similar)

Eep! This was my other favorite look from the week. Trousers + tee + wool blazer feels like perfection in my book! This blazer is one of the most beautifully-fitting I have ever tried. And as promised, here is the scoop on The Perfect Pants. These are the Kate 4-season pant that I have been eyeing from J.Crew, and I finally went in the store and tried them on. They are trouser-ish, but still slim with a slightly cropped leg, making them incredibly versatile. They can work with pretty much any shoe or any shape of top (fitted or oversized). AND, they are as comfortable as pajamas. I highly recommend them!

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Blazer, c/o
Tee
Kate Pants (I sized down)
Boots, older Freda’s
Bag

And lastly, I wanted to let you know that Everlane just kicked off a big sweater and outerwear sale! It is all 30% off. The Oversized Alpaca Sweaters and the ReNew Long Liner are some of my most-worn cold weather items! I highly recommend both! (And I wear them both in my usual size.)

  1. Fun to see you approach this life transition in your fashion. However, have to say your hair is looking gorgeous these days. Super cute do.

  2. Love the looks! Would be very interested in hearing what you think of the Angela Scott shoes. They are all super cute but I do get nervous at that price point!

  3. Congrats on the new job! I recently discovered Angela Scott and ak curious what size you took? Thanks!
