It’s been a very sunny and warm fall around here, and it’s a little bit… weird. I honestly don’t know what to wear. Now I know what people in other parts of the country mean when they say ‘fake fall.’ I see things like pumpkins at the grocery store, and pumpkin-spice flavored fill-in-the-blank everywhere else, but it feels incongruous because it’s so warm out. Now, I understand that feeling of momentary confusion people experience when they look at real time pictures of friends and family in other locations who are wearing coats. This extended warm, dry weather is extremely unusual for Oregon, and it’s hard to not feel a little sad about that, because I know it’s not good for our climate.
So how does all this translate to outfits?? It’s making me a confused about what to wear! Our temperatures have been in the 80’s for several days this month, but cool in the mornings. This means I am reaching for all the short sleeve shirts I don’t have, ha! It’s almost too warm for pants, but shorts feel so… ‘summer.’ I guess fake fall it is!
You might have already seen a version of this outfit last week, but I wanted to show you how I wore it IRL. Very cozy and comfy for an early morning soccer game!

I finally got my hands on a jumpsuit with long sleeves! I have been eyeing the ones from Alex Mill forever. I opted for the zip edition because I like the easy in-and-out. Excited to style this one through the winter. Mr. Seasons got something from Alex Mill too! I love his shirt (and I may have to borrow it).

This was definitely *not* my favorite outfit of the week. I think I need to spend some time brainstorming outfit ideas, maybe even trying on a few things and snapping pictures. It’s so easy for me to fall into a rut in the morning. Sometimes, when I’m extra ahead on life, I’ll save a few photos from pinterest to my phone for quick reference. And sometimes, I look back on old blog photos for outfit ideas!
