What I Wore: Fall Transition + New Boots

Hello! Two weeks off from this space always feels a little strange. I’ve missed sharing/dissecting outfits and musing about clothes in general. I am finally nearing the end of my real estate coursework (knock on wood!), and I am hoping to take my licensing test in about a month. I’ve enjoyed getting to know the industry by working for a friend and getting my head in the game. I love everything about markets, homes and real estate in general! I can’t wait to share more as it unfolds.

Meanwhile, our weather is starting to cool down so I’ve been re-remembering how to wear pants! Each fall I seem to have a bit of a learning curve. And this year, I am leaning into the ‘bigger is better’ mentality around pants and that means a learning curve x2 – but it’s been lots of fun.

Here’s a look at some of the outfits I wore over the last two weeks:

I wore this to church and promptly got two compliments on my skirt. I’ve had it in my closet for two years now, and for some reason getting compliments on ‘older’ items makes me extra happy!

I allllmost didn’t include this one, but you guys seemed pretty excited about it when I shared it on Instagram. These are the ‘full length’ vintage wide leg from Madewell. I got them in the spring, and I think they would actually look cuter if they were longer on me. This fall Madewell has come out with a new style that is similar, but a bit longer and wider, called the Superwide-Leg jeans and if I had the choice for a redo I would opt for those! They come in an ultra light wash and a beautiful, dark wash. Gosh, why do I love baggy jeans all of a sudden?!

I love mixed media! This skirt is always so fun to wear, and I think pairing it with t-shirts is my favorite way to wear it.

Simple wins the day! I love the shapes of the garments and the color palette here. These boots make everything look good. This was the first day I wore them, and they have very quickly softened up (the leather Freda uses is top-notch) and are molding to my foot around the ankle area.

I think this one is my favorite from the bunch! All my favorite colors in one outfit! I really like how these boots add just the right element to the very simple shapes in this outfit. The sweater is blockish/square and the pants are very straight, the boots add curves and sheen which are the perfect complement.
