Hi friends! My life feels like it has been turned upside down lately, but in mostly good ways. I am a bit of a living cliché: the mom who has been at home for a decade-plus and is migrating back into the professional world. It’s exciting, exhilarating and complicated.
My outfits this week were fun to put together, but some days I was so busy I forgot to snap a photo. One day I spent time feverishly researching ‘business casual’ the night before a meeting (this post was really, really helpful!). That’s a style of dressing I haven’t paid attention to for a very long time, but now it’s suddenly all kinds of interesting! So, this might evolve into a ‘business casual blog,’ we’ll see

This one was a little outside my comfort zone, I think I would have preferred my white sneakers instead, but I was(am) still finding my footing with this style of getting dressed. However, everytime I wear this skirt, I love it more.
OUTFIT DETAILS:
Top, old c/o Tradlands, similar here
Tammie Skirt, c/o Sezane, this color sold out, but there is a new Pastel Mini flowers that is lovely!
Mules, Freda Salvador, use 15ANDREA to save 15%
Bag, c/o Cuyana – literally the perfect work bag!

Oh the irony of these pants. Lately, I have been settling back into familiar silhouettes (verses trying extra hard to embrace trendy ones) and for me that is a pair of wide leg pants. If you’ve been around here for awhile, you know I’ve worn Kamm pants many times on an off over the years. This pair is essentially a $50 dollar version of Kamm pants, yet they are comfortable because the fabric is made with stretch! I can’t wait to style these with sneakers or a graphic tee.
OUTFIT DETAILS:
Luzon Tie top, old Only Child
Marine Straight Jeans (this color OOS, linked to similar)
Mules, Freda Salvador
Bag, Acne Studios (similar for less)

For me this is the quintessentially perfect summer outfit: white tank, cut-offs, Birkenstocks, and a little elevation with the shirt and bag.
OUTFIT DETAILS:
Overshirt, c/o (wearing a small), use ANDREA15 to save 15%
Tank (S)

My first proper attempt at ‘business casual’…

This is the outfit I styled (above) and this is the outfit I wore (below):

I was worried the sneakers would be too casual when paired with the jeans so I opted for the mary janes. I like both outfits, but think I prefer the sneakers combo 10% more so that’s why I decided to share it here.

Linen Blazer, this color sold out, linked to similar

Jeans, old Agolde, this style no longer available

Eugenia Flat

Do you dress in business casual attire? If so, I’d love to hear your go-to formulas or items. I’ll be back again next week with more outfits!
Oh great outfits, I loved dressing business casual during my job teaching at an outdoor school on a farm! I wore midi skirts every day in the hot summer and sweater dresses in the winter. My students told me it gave off Little House on the Prairie vibes, LOL
I love it! When you know what works, getting dressed can feel almost foolproof! I love the images that those items conjure up. :)
