What I Wore: Shorts, Dresses + a few ‘Work’ Outfits

This week has been quite busy, and my outfit documentation clearly reflects that. I started with higher quality photos and was exclusively cell phone-selfies by the end of the week. I’ve hinted a few times at a new career path I am on (I promise I will share more soon) and this week I had some in-person activities that lead to some serious wardrobe consideration.

Upon reflection, getting dressed for ‘work’ verses getting dressed for ‘influencing’ feels entirely different. In the influencer world I always felt like I had to be ahead of the trends, stand out and and be unique. But in the professional world my main goals are to look nice and feel like myself. So far, that goal feels much more easy to achieve than the nebulous influencer one.

I was so exhausted after getting home from vacation that I wore a version of this outfit two days in a row! I have this (linen) shirt in white, so I promptly repeated this outfit. With good outfits, you really don’t have to reinvent the wheel, especially if you take the time to choose wisely when you’re making purchases.

I was waiting for the day it was hot enough for me to wear this and it was perfect! This cotton gauze set is from my most recent collaboration with Pact (love them!!). It’s super lightweight, great for the heat, and looks chic when paired with cute accessories! I wore this twice in one weekend!

The effortless outfits are just rolling out of my closet right now! I think it’s because the weather is finally nice, and it has been fun to get reacquainted with all my summer clothes! These slides are new from my ambassadorship with Freda Salvador, and they are soooo comfy and cute. (See pic at the beginning of this post for reference!) The top is ruched leather, it’s so soft! (Side note: they are having a big sale right now!)

I finally wore this dress! I got lots of compliments on it. It’s very soft and loose-fitting. I didn’t size down like I usually do in JK and I kind of wish I had.
