Several Black Friday sales are underway or kicking off this week. Here are a few to keep an eye on:
Note: I don’t advocate for getting swept up in the Black Friday hype, I honestly find it pretty overwhelming. But, BF can be a great time to buy something already on your list for a significant savings. Use this day to your advantage, and do not be swept into buying things you don’t truly want or intend to buy. Be very careful not to get ‘sale goggles.’ Below I’m sharing a few sales from some of my favorite spots. I’ll update this list if I see anything good to add!
*Updated November 24th*
>> Shopbop has a nearly sitewide sale right now. Some of my closet favorites are on sale: AGOLDE jeans, the 90’s Jeans and 90’s Pinch Waist (this pair is amazing too, wow!), my Freda Salvador Emi Boots, and these Simon Miller Boots I keep eyeing but am too chicken to buy. And I am crushing on this crushed velvet blazer.
>> Reformation has 25% off sitewide. Some of my favorites from them are the Giles Shirt Jacket (it’s so cozy with the fleece lining, but not bulky!), the Hart Sweater and all of their outerwear is enviable. I love the Jackie tops for layering.
>> Everlane’s Black Friday sale just opened up early access! Some of my favorites on sale: the ReNew Long Liner, the Cloud Turtleneck, the ReWool Peacoat.
>> Madewell currently has 30% off sitewide, including their bags! I bought this one secondhand and I love it. You can see my other favorites in this blog post.
>> ABLE‘s sale is in full swing, you can see my favorites here. My code ANDREABF25 gets you 25% off sitewide (markdowns and full-price) through Cyber Monday, 11/29. And there’s a new perk, for every $100 you spend at ABLE you get $10 in your rewards account – including any past purchases you’ve used with my code this month! Credit will show up in your account by Friday, December 3rd – and you will be notified via the email address you used at checkout
>> Jenni Kayne usually has a pretty decent Black Friday sale. My favorite item from them is the cocoon sweater which has pretty much replaced all my other cardigans.
>> Freda Salvador will likely have a Black Friday discount. The two pairs I have been living in all fall: the Emi (these get so many compliments!) and the Brooke (gifted – these are ridiculously easy to wear, so soft and comfy!). I am also a huge fan of the Nico Belt.
>> Dear Frances has kicked off their Black Friday sale with 25% off sitewide. Use the code BF25. I sold my Park Boots because I struggled to style the dark brown color. But I am super interested in the tan Park Boots! Note. They changed their sizing in the last year, so pay close attention to the size chart.
>> Aritzia usually does around 30% off sitewide. Their shirt jackets are my favorite, especially the long ones!
>> Schoolhouse Electric has kicked off their biggest sale of the year featuring 10-20% off sitewide. I finally ordered the clock I have been wanting for years! I got it in black.

Tan France on why coats matter so much, and his new coat line! I always love hearing Tan’s take on anything style-related.
I enjoyed this write up on one NY politician and the stories his clothes tell.
I love a good home tour, and this one is ripe with professional looking DIY’s including links to detailed posts on how they did everything. And this tour starts with a note that reminds the reader that making a home takes time, sometimes many years! (This is a reminder I needed to hear.)
Did you know that rearranging your furniture might actually be good for your mental health?
Lastly, I have an ask of you. I want to share a reader-based piece on holiday traditions. I love hearing what other people and their families do. Whether it’s something small, big or obscure, I am interested in knowing how you all celebrate the holidays that happen from now until the end of the year. If you have a little tidbit, would you drop me a few sentences at andrea (at) seasons-and-salt.com? I would be so thankful!
The last three years I’ve made cinnamon rolls from scratch for Christmas morning! It’s a delightful tradition!
That sounds delicious!
Cinnamon rolls and egg casserole on Christmas morning! And when I was a kid my parents would make a trail of candy through the house and tell us Santa had a hole in his bag!
That’s so sweet Rebecca!
