Park City Vacation: What I Wore

The bags are unpacked, the car is vacuumed and washed, and life has returned back to normal routines. And I think I’m finally emerging from my post-vacation blues (remember that feeling when you used to go to camp as a kid?).

We had a great time in Park City, Utah with some of my very favorite ladies and their families (Paige and Jaana). This was the first all-family meet up for us, and it felt like a big success. There were 8 kids and 6 parents all under one roof for four nights. We had a lot of fun. BUT, that is not what this post is about. Because some sweet moments and memories must live off the internet. THIS post is about what I wore.

I created a visual packing list before we left for the trip, and guess what? I totally referenced it to remember which outfits I had planned instead of digging through my suitcase. It was so helpful! And I wore almost all of them.

We had a 12-hour drive to Park City, and we split it over two days. Here is what I wore for those travel days:

tank | pants | sandals

These pants are real winners for traveling. They are comfortable in a multitude of temperature settings because they are made from lightweight merino. And they fold/roll up super small and barely take up any room in a suitcase! They were perfect for sitting in the car for long periods and I obviously super love the way they look too.

Do you spy the elastic-waist theme for traveling? Comfort is king! I love the way the interesting color pairing here makes this very simple look feel like a complete outfit. BTW, love these sandals so much. Wish I had found them before I bought some of my other summer sandals, because these are all I really need!

Once we got to Park City, outfit photos were pretty much the furthest thing from my mind, but I have a few snaps from our days and you can see what I wore:

Love these girls so much! And this downtown was ridiculously cute!! I ended up swapping in my Agolde shorts on this day because my Everlane jean shorts felt too tight (hello, vacation fun!). I wore a repeat of this outfit the next day when we went to Utah Olympic Park, but with a workout tank top and sneakers.

On this day we went to the pool, so I decided to wear a hat. Not my favorite look, but it’s hard to beat the convenience of a good ball cap. Would have definitely preferred my Janessa Leone hat, but was trying to pack small! Please note my sweet daughters who are rapidly gaining on me in height!

We stayed in Boise on both sides of our trip. This image was taken on the way home after a dinner out near our hotel.

I love this outfit because it feels like pajamas, but looks totally chic. This bag was cute for traveling but the straps hurt a little bit when it was really full. Next time, I may try a different big bag.

Closing Thoughts:

>> It looks like I have a clear theme of loving tank tops. Simple, fitted tanks are definitely my most reached for tops in the summer.

>> I really enjoyed the fanny bag! It made my outfits feel more fun and pulled together, and the convenience was hard to beat! Now I am eyeballing some bigger ones in different colors.

>> I felt like I had plenty of variety, and alternates, which I used in a pinch.

Now, when is the next trip??
