This weekend, as we celebrate a new Federal holiday, you can read all about the history of Juneteenth here. For more, check out the Juneteeth 2021 episode of the Be the Bridge podcast where they do a deep dive into the history of the day with a special guest (this one is in my queue for this week).

Juneteenth is a great reminder to recommit to supporting Black-owned businesses. Some of my favorites are ZOU XOU and Aliya Wanek (pictured above, respectively).

  1. I quit posting any political content on social media and only have political conversations in real life with people I know. The rest is toxic and/or performative. It has been much less stressful setting that boundary.
