It’s that time of year, the holidays are over, the decorations are getting packed up and we’re reflecting back on the last twelve months. 2020 has been a hard year for many of us, and I am so grateful for those of you who have chosen to spend a portion of your time here. Talking about clothes and style may seem silly in a year as difficult as this, but I have found it to be a welcome, creative reprieve.
One of my goals for 2021 is to figure out how to share style content here more frequently than ever. In January I am kicking off a ’30 Days of Winter Style’ series (inspired by my dear friend Lee!). Starting January 2nd I’ll be updating the blog each day with a winter outfit! Winter can be such a tricky season to stay engaged with your personal style, and staying at home can make it even harder. I’m taking this opportunity as a chance to continue to dig into my creativity and love for styling. I can’t wait to share along the way!
I deeply believe in the importance of connecting with our own personal style, even if no one even sees us. Whether it’s a cozy, coordinated lounge outfit, broken-in jeans and a sweater that holds stories and memories, a linen dress and platform boots, or leggings and furry slippers that bring you joy – these little choices add up and really impact how the day feels. The other day I watched a recent episode of ‘What Everyone is Wearing in New York‘ and I was struck by how well people dress for themselves. They are committed to wearing what pleases them, no matter the season (or pandemic). A beautiful homage to personal style. What a simple way to bring joy to our days.
See you in 2021 my friends!
