
I live in Niketown (quite literally, we are surrounded by people who work for the nearby-headquartered shoe giant) and I like to closely follow sustainability-related Nike news as much as I can. Though they are a global company, in Portland they feel like a hometown brand, so I will always have a soft spot for them. However, most of the time sustainably-related articles = bad press and this piece by Whitney Hauck is no different. How can the brand aim to do better on ethics and sustainability when 90% of their supply chain is out of house?
What if we thought of our attention span like a bank account? How would we spend it? Would we still give it away so freely to the apps on our phone? This one has Mr. Seasons and I discussing.

The other day I watched Dearly Bethany’s video on layering and I am super inspired by her monochromatic strategy. It makes something daunting (layering) seem a lot easier to tackle in a chic way.
Speaking of chic, Reformation is killing it this fall. I really like this take on the ‘woodsman jacket’ trend. And this coat is what layering dreams are made of. I super dig their flat boots, and I think these are a cuter version of Doc’s. And the pink trainers are the first pair that made me want some dad sneakers.
I made these delicious oatmeal pumpkin bars a few days ago and highly recommend!
