Last night I made the mistake of not laying out (or at least picking out) my clothes for the next day. This morning that meant I was ready to pull on all the cozy knits and comfy shoes. If I had put on white jeans, I could have gone for a full #stickofbutter look. Next time.

Over the summer I sold my cotton Babaà cardigan, which I loved, but found didn’t get worn nearly as much as my wool one. I prefer the wool because it can be worn through more seasons than cotton (it’s breathable AND warm) and it’s lighter weight compared to the heavy cotton. However, the big deal breaker on the cotton cardigan for me, was that it did not fit under my rain jackets. (The wool ones do.) This fall I replaced my natural cotton cardigan with this natural wool one, and it’s already been a key player in my daily outfits. I love these cardigans because they have a beautiful round shape when worn, and big relaxed sleeves which can be layered over tops of all shapes and sizes. You can read my full Babaà review from last fall here.

Love this outfit a lot and it’s a combo that I also could wear (if I had the babaa no19 or 18 ;-) ).
I have planned to buy one of them during their sale in january but I have not made my mind up yet.
One day I would love to have the wool one but the other day I would choose the cotton one because I would get much more wear out of it….
Not so easy to decide.
But I understand completly why you sold the cotton one.
I also never keep something that I don’t wear anymore.
And not being able to wear it under your coats is also for me a huge dealbreaker.
It’s so hard to make these choices sometimes! But I suppose they are good choices to have. :)
I really like how the scarf complements your outfit. The stitch pattern looks interesting. A close-up would be useful if you get the chance. Thanks!
Thanks Anne! Here is a link to the pattern, perhaps that will help!
Thanks! Pattern downloaded! It looks fairly “beginner easy”, which is especially useful for knitting in quick bits and snatches while waiting for classes and practices to be over.
That cardigan looks like a DREAM! I’ve found that I can’t wear wool as much as I used to; my skin is just too sensitive. Even some cashmeres feel itchy to me. :( It’s really throwing me off as I try to build my fall/winter wardrobe…
Hi Kimi! What a bummer, I’m so sorry to hear that. I could see how it would throw you off! Maybe it’s a good time to invest in some cotton sweaters and some teddy pieces. All the teddy fleece is just so cute!!
