the Weekly Rundown: Why ‘My So-Called Life’ was Great + A Princess Di Inspired Photo Shoot

Photo I took at the Radisson RED in downtown Portland. See more photos from our stay here.

You guys!!!! ‘The Weekly Rundown’ is back! Now that school has started and I have regular work hours again this reader-favorite will return to its usual weekend post.

Did you see the Princess Diana-inspired photo shoot Hailey Bieber did with Vogue Paris? I’m not saying I would wear bike shorts any time soon, but I’m definitely ready to go buy a baggy, vintage sweatshirt. The blazer look is 10/10. You can see a video here, and a few photos here.

I never watched ‘My So-Called Life’ — I think I was a bit too young when it came out — but I always wanted to. This article explains how it was ahead of its time, and is reminding me to watch it sooner than later.

I read this Instagram post the other day, and I keep thinking about it. The words we speak, even in the privacy of our own minds, have the potential to shape our hearts towards those who are different than us, for the better or for the worse.

How productive is your work week? Do you think you could get everything done in just 16 hours? Reading this has convinced me to start planning my days differently.

Leah reviews her fall favorites from Everlane. I love reading her honest thoughts about the brand and why she continues to support them. (PS. The side-zip pants are killer on her!)

I would 100% wear this outfit but with these shoes instead.

I let out a giddy squeal when I saw this Pumpkin Energy Bites recipe in my Instagram feed. Will definitely be making them as soon as I get a chance!

Cheers to a great weekend!

  1. Hi Andrea!
I am so happy that the Weekly Rundowns are back! Hurray!
I love the 90s style pictured in Lady Di inspired photoshoot. And I have enjoyed the honest article of Stylewise on Everlane.
    Have a nice week!

  2. I didn’t realize how much I missed these posts until you started them again! 😂 Yay! You have such interesting finds! I’m actually using my own version of the 16 hr work week in our homeschool schedule. 4 days a week is working well!
