I can’t seem to get enough of hoop earrings lately. I used to wear them all the time — about 5-6 years ago — and then gradually transitioned to other styles. Thankfully I saved my favorite pair and I am eagerly wearing them again. It’s undeniably trendy right now to wear hoops, and I am sure their prevalence is why I’m reaching for mine again. Arguably though, hoops are just as classic as they are trendy. My mom has worn gold hoop earrings nearly every day of my life. Thick, thin, oval, small, big(ish), I’m pretty sure they’ve all graced her ears at some point.
This fall I’ve upped my hoop game by adding a few more to my rotation. And I seriously LOVE them. The pairs I wear are non-interfering with everyday life, they are weightless, they are minimalist and they are stylish. Not to mention, they are well-priced.
Here is what’s currently in my jewelry box.
1 ) Small Slice Hoops, Baleen $44
Gifted, Made by hand in Seattle, Use code SALT20, to take 20% off the price through 11/22.
Size: 1.5″ diameter, 1mm thick
Materials: Gold-plated
These are the hoops that started my resurgence with the style. I love the modern, fresh take on the classic earring. I have worn these a few times per week (or more) since I got them. Why? For two main reasons: they are extremely lightweight and the gold tone does not tarnish. I love brass, but I don’t love the upkeep of darkening metal. Since these are gold-plated they have stayed as light and bright as the day I got them. I love wearing them with jeans and a tee as much as I love adding them to a more styled outfit.
2 ) Small Slice Hoops, Beige Torte, Baleen $38
Gifted, Made by hand in Seattle, Use code SALT20, to take 20% off the price through 11/22.
Size: 1.5″ diameter, 4mm thick
Materials: Acetate
Tortoise-colored hoops are like the cool older sister to simple gold hoops. They are here to make a statement, and really know how to dress up a solid-colored sweater. These are almost as lightweight as the gold Slice Hoops, and for that reason I find myself wearing them in the middle of the week, just for fun. They are especially helpful on dirty-hair-ponytail-days.
3 ) Large Hoops, Mejuri $79
Gifted, Responsibly made in Toronto and Seoul, Save 10% if you click through using my referral link.
Size: <1″ diameter
Materials: 14K Solid Gold
These are a whisper of a hoop, perfect for the ultra minimalist or anyone who prefers a streamlined look. I wear them on days when I want simple earrings because I’m wearing a few necklaces. I recently tried them on in my second ear piercing spot, paired with thicker hoops, and loved it. These earrings are so lightweight, you’ll forget you’re wearing them.
4 ) Legacy Hoops, ABLE $68
Purchased by me, responsibly made in Nashville.
Size: 1 inch diameter
Materials: 14K Gold-Fill
I JUST got this pair, and I was so excited I had to make this blog post to share. These are the ‘baby bear’ of hoops for me! The classic, tick all the boxes hoops. They make an impact from all angles (front and side) but they never overpower an outfit. Lightweight to boot, I am very excited to never take these off.
BONUS: 5) Crescent Hoops, Loop Jewelry $38
I don’t own these yet, but I love this take on traditional hoops. Responsibly made in Portland, OR. Save 15% with the code: SEASONS15
Size: 1 3/8″ W x 7/8″ L
Materials: 14K Gold-Fill
A great option for when you want the chic simplicity of hoops but with a contemporary take. These sleek hoops are undoubtedly as lightweight as the other ones and would look super cute with a turtleneck and vintage jeans!
The price point on these five pairs of earrings is so amazing they would make a great option for gifts – for moms, sisters, friends, or anyone else on your list who has an eye for style. Cheers to years of hoop wearing!

I feel as you do about hoop earrings and recently bought the 14K gold hoops by Mejuri . I have the faceted gold filled hoop earrings by Loop Jewelry and love them, too. And, by the way, the 20% off on the small slice earrings was the impetus for me to go ahead and order them.
Okay not only am I now obsessed with these earrings and want them all, but I HAVE to ask about your lip color — it’s so good!! What is it?? :) Ella
Thank you Ella!
Which picture specifically are you referring to re:lip color?
Oh they’re different? Ha! I guess the last photo of you is the one I like the best… but they’re all good!
I believe that one is a combination of two colors: Believe by Kjaer Weis (which is a lot more plum than pictured) and Rose in Beaty Counter’s sheer lipstick.
Thank you! Must check them out. :)
