STYLE:
I’m really feeling the fall inspiration this weekend! Lots of style-related links to share today.
I’m honored to be included in the Good Trade’s roundup, so many good looks going on there.
LO’s amazing inspiration board has me pining for blazers and more green.
Karin shares her affordable ethical fashion looks. So many cute outfits, my favorite is the tunic over the cream pants.
I just watched Daria Andronescu’s guide to fall layering, and it really expanded my thinking on how to pull together layered looks. In the video she shares some really interesting formulas and talks about why fabric is an important consideration. Also, is it just me, or do folks in Europe seem to have a more unique approach to layering than some of us US-types?
Caroline shows us how she wears white after Labor Day, and I’m totally crushing on some of her non-mainstream looks.
Do you guys use Pinterest? I’ve recently created a style board of my favorite looks from outfit photos I’ve taken over the years. I’ve been feeling a little confused about what I like lately, and I’m hoping this will help bring clarity. A side benefit of the new board: it’s the perfect place to go when I need an idea of what to wear in the morning!
And finally, I’m posting the Weekly Rundown a day early this weekend because TODAY is the last day of Shopbop’s fall sale. It’s a great chance to save $$$ on big ticket items you might have been looking at, like Rachel Comey’s Legion Pants, No.6 clogs, APC’s Half Moon Bag, and jeans by AGolde. Okay, who am I kidding, those are all item’s I’ve been looking at! I’m not buying anything from the sale this year, but wanted to spread the word in case you missed it.
Cheers to a relaxing weekend that is filled with oat milk lattes and September sunshine!
I’ve been a little confused about what I like lately, too! I like slim jeans, I like wide legs, I like crops, I like tunics, I like boxy, I like slim fit. Not all of those go together and I’m struggling with FOMO and exhaustion with all there is to be had. It’s making me accumulate more than I want and the struggle to reign it in is real.
What’s happening to us Lindsey?!? I think the hardest part is that they don’t all go together, and yeah the FOMO and exhaustion are real too. Do you know what helps me? When I stay off Instagram ><. Yeah I hear you all around. We have another 10x10 coming up in October, you should join in, maybe that will help!
Girl, I SO appreciate the solidarity! I always fail at 10x10s, but maybe I’ll just give it a go again. And I just deleted the Instagram app before I read this – we’re on the same wavelength!
What good Pinterest board idea! And thank you for the shoutout!
Thanks for including me in your round up Andrea! That video is so helpful… and I agree with you about Europeans seeming to have a more natural flair for layering. Hope you had a great weekend!
