Fall Giveaway with Belvele! — WINNER ANNOUNCED!

This post is sponsored by Belvele, curators of fine, ethical fashion.

We just came off a streak of gorgeous, fall weather here in Portland. The days have been sunny and clear, with bright blue skies and crunchy orange leaves everywhere. I’m enjoying all the vitamin D I can before I have to start dodging rain drops for the foreseeable future.

Part of the fun – or the challenge – of this weather is getting use out of my short sleeved tops! I have a handful of great ones left over from summer, and a couple of favorite cardigans, so I’ve been trying to put them to work. Right now, it’s chilly in the mornings – 50 degrees F or lower – and the temperature often hits upper 60’s by afternoon. Layers are most certainly in order.

When Belvele sent me this top to style I knew I’d be putting one of my favorite vintage cardigans to use alongside it. I love mixing eras of clothing when getting dressed, which attests to my love of contrast in styling. I love a good pair of vintage jeans, or a vintage bag thrown in the mix to give an ‘off the rack’ look more depth.

This slightly-cropped top from Belvele is one of my favorite colors right now. It’s that rich, pumpkin-y hue, that I have found I love yearround. (Mixing black and brown is a favorite palette of mine!) This top is made from soft, textured Japanese twill and it can be worn with the V in the front or back. This season I’ll be styling it with oversized cardigans, like my vintage cream one seen here, or my chunky charcoal one.

Belvele is offering up some other good-looking gems right now.

My 70’s adoration continues with a peasant-style blouse that is calling my name. The Bardot Tunic would look amazing with high-waisted vintage jeans, or really anything high-waisted. Chic AND non-dry clean. (I tend to avoid buying items that are worn next to my skin that require dry cleaning. Not my favorite method of ‘cleaning.’)  I’m working hard to exercise self control right now!

I also adore the Ribbons Blouse in blush. If I had a job that required professional attire, these are the sort of tops I think I’d wear. Tucked into trousers and skirts, maybe even worn with jeans on the weekend. Neckties are such a great way to add polish to an outfit, and I love how they straddle the line between masculine and feminine.

  1. I love that color with navy! I did #2 and my favorite is actually the Mod dress from Emerson Fry. I can see it at work, on date night, or at a bridal/baby shower. Very cute. I also love this Rose Crop in both colors. I also love that big cardigan. It’s still close to 90 here and I am *over it*. Living vicariously through the rest of you :)

  2. What a lovely collection of clothes! I have completed step 2, and the Casey Dress in Olive looks like a versatile piece for work :)

  3. signed up! loving the Esby Rose Crop Top in Camel as well as the Esby Casey Dress in Olive and First Rite Crossover Dress!

  4. The Georgia Crop Tee in Black is really cute! I completed step #2. I also like the Ribbons Blouse in Blush!

  5. I love the Georgia Cropped Tee in Black, it’s so simple and basic but will go with everything!

    Step #2 done.

  6. I love the nubby texture of that twill. The Alex wide leg pants kept pulling me back. I wonder how they would work on a petite. . . Honestly, one of my hardest problems with ethical shopping is the lack of petite sizing. I’m 5′. Even. Yep. For an investment piece, it needs to fit right. Pants might be easy to alter, but shirts often have 3″ too much fabric between the shoulder and the armpit. That is not an easy alteration. Completed step 2. Fingers crossed, perhaps I can try them and be pleasantly surprised.

  7. I love the esby apparel casey dress in olive! Would love to wear it to my wedding rehearsal in 2 months! I completed step 2 and signed up for the reward program. *crossing my fingers*

  8. Completed step 2! I’m with you loving the color and shape of the Rose Crop Top in Camel!

  9. I am loving the Ribbons top in blush you mentioned! it would perfect for my business casual work environment! Thank you sharing this shop, their pieces are beautiful! I completed step 2 as well :)

  10. Done & done! I love that Bardot tunic from Emerson Fry and the crossover dress from First Rite. I’m almost 8 weeks postpartum with my first baby and a large portion of my pre pregnancy wardrobe got mold damage while in storage :(. So I need to start from scratch! Both of those pieces look like they would work well for nursing, but feel more like “me”, I think. Still trying to figure out what me as a mom looks like.

  11. Thanks for sharing. I love a rewards program, so of course I’m in! And I agree with your picks–the Ribbons blouse in blush is so, so dreamy! <3

  12. Completed step 2 and signed up for the reward program! Hard to pick.. love the crop top in camel. It looks lovely with the navy and cream as you’ve styled it!

  13. I completed step 2 and I love the Rose crop top in camel (I REALLY loved that belted overcoat, but alas, it is sold out)

  24. Completed step 2. Love the Mod Dress (Emerson Fry)- A little black dress never goes out of style :) Love the front detail.

  25. I completed step 2. Love that shirt on you and have eyed it for a bit but think it wouldn’t be as flattering on me. I’m loving the Bardot tunic…also looks like it would be nursing friendly, which is the current requirement. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

  26. All the things! (Is that an ok answer?!) Particularly enamored with the navy shirt dress and grid pattern buttondown… and the Alex wide-leg pants. :) I also adore the top you’re modeling – the camel color is my absolute favorite fall hue. Thank you for the style inspiration!

  37. I did step #2! I love the color of the crop top you have on. I also love the green cross front dress from first rite. Beautiful shop!

  38. Completed the second step and my favorite is hands down , the Duffy Jumper in Camel. Pockets? Machine washable? Reversible. Wide legs and a pulled-in waist! I’m so surprised I don’t see anyone else listing it… at least when I used the Ctrl + F feature to see if anyone else was mentioning this amazing jumper. Thanks for sharing the contest! It’s fun to dream, eh?

  39. Hi, I’ve completed step 2. I love the Esby Duffy Jumper in Camel, the color is beautiful :)

  40. The crossover dress is gorgeous, effortless, and looks like something I could live in from work to going out. And the color, Jade, so subtle and pretty. I completed step 2 and am excited to get more details from Belvele!

  41. Completed step 2. I’m loving the Kala Ponte Moto Jacket. I think the soft fabric would be a great fit for my current casual lifestyle. Who wants to haul a toddler around in a stiff leather jacket?

  42. Step 2 done, and OH that rose crop top in camel! Also the Georgia tee in black…*swoon*

  43. Just signed up! I’ve had my eye on the Rose Crop top for awhile now as well as the georgia tee…I don’t often wear black, tho, so I wish the Georgia tee came in another color!
