On the design front, I’m always thinking about shoehorning my family of five into a small space. As we look for homes to buy in Portland, I realize some creativity on my part will be almost certainly required. I love seeing how others do it, like this family of four in a one-bedroom apartment. My situation won’t require that, but it’s pretty impressive to see how well people can utilize tight quarters. And, apparently preserving negative space is a must!
