Thank you for all the great feedback on Thursday’s post. It’s a bit scary to put yourself out there in a way that others could possibly be offended by. Nobody wants to be told they could be making choices that harm others. I really appreciated all the open hearts I was met with. :)
Style Saint (referral link) I’ve found yet another company that prioritizes “quality, sustainability, and the humanity behind clothing.” It feels like the more I look the more I find! While they sell a lot of stuff that may not necessarily be my style I do think their silk tanks and rosette bralettes are gorgeous. Their clothes are touted as 100% fast-fashion free and it looks like most of them are made in Los Angeles! :)
My Green Closet – So, I am totally not a consumer of vlogs, but this is an awesome channel that I got quickly sucked into, specifically this video about Ethical & Eco Fashion Tips. There is a great breakdown of information in there to help you sort out what your priorities are when shopping.
Stir Fry Lettuce Cups – On the table this week. One of my favorite recipes because my family should have been Asian (for the love of Asian food!). Even my little man loved it.
Is anyone watching Fear the Walking Dead? We have been fans of The Walking Dead from the beginning, and I was pretty dubious about this spinoff. But three episodes in I must say I am completely hooked! The story is set at the very beginning of the outbreak while society is still pretty “normal” so watching the digression has been interesting to say the least.
She Reads Truth. Probably my favorite app on my phone. After taking a break for a few months I am reading a new study about the women of the Bible. It’s fascinating to closely look at the lives these women have lead, and see God through their stories.
And just for fun, because in another life I’m a photographer… (St. John’s Bridge, North Portland)
