As the August heat roars on (well, okay, except for today in Portland) a small rumble bearing the word: fall is starting to roll around the corners of the internet. This especially includes the social media of bloggers everywhere.
But wait!
Summer is beautiful, don’t break up with her just yet. There are still hikes to be had, parks to be conquered and lest I forget: dining al fresco. Put a little more sunscreen on your shoulders and spend a little bit more time with our number one source for vitamin D. Because in the blink of an eye we’ll all be hiding under our coats wondering where the sun went. This is especially true in the Pacific Northwest where it is rare to see the sun between November – May.
Our family still needs to get to the beach, venture to Multnomah Falls, and swim in a regular-sized pool. And I still need to wear every possible combo in my summer capsule, including this one, starring my favorite vest. See you soon fall, but not just yet.
[vest, thrifted Ella Moss, (similar) / tank, Everlane / jean shorts, very old (like 10 years!) AG cutoffs (similar + made in USA!) / bag, Madewell / shoes (similar, cuter + made in Brazil) / necklace, Portland artist Loop Jewelry]
On a side note: After tomorrow’s Weekly Rundown, I’ll be taking a week off from the blog to spend some extra time with family and friends. And then I’ll be back like a bad habit, sharing a few new additions to my wardrobe in anticipation of, you guessed it fall.
Couldn’t agree more! I want to soak up every remaining bit of summer. I still have beaches to go and sun to enjoy. There is time for yet another long winter. Besides, summer officially ends on SEP 21st, and here sometimes it’s warm until the end of October…
Oh my gosh I can’t believe it’s almost fall, can you?? I just found your blog and I love it! Those shorts are darling. You look so great!!
