The answer is “yes.”
If you’ve been thinking about buying an oversized jean jacket, yes, they look super cute on.
After months of hunting, and then finding this jean jacket via Levi’s, I am really enjoying the proportions of it. It seems like most everywhere you look all the jean jackets for sale are cropped. I do not want cold hips or an exposed back in the fall. Cropped and fitted denim jackets are still enviable in their styling and often look really great paired with dresses, tunics, etc., but this is a fun change.
The longer jacket looks really chic with skirts and wears nicely as a cape. I am eager to style it in the fall with my variety of jeans: skinnies, patched, black, maybe even a wide leg. The larger size will layer well over sweaters on cooler days, without the bulk of a large jacket. I don’t know about you, but by the end of winter I am so tired of my jackets I don’t even want to look at them. My theory is if I can hold out into late fall before I start to wear them, I’ll have more stamina in the winter time.
What about you? Are you into the oversized denim jacket trend?

I love this jacket! A jean jacket is on my list of things to buy, and you’re so right about a lot of them being cropped. What size did you take in the Levi’s? And how tall are you? Wanna see what size I should look into!
Hi Dori!
I have been enjoying your blog. :) I am 5’7″ and I bought this in a Medium. The Small fit as well, but I wanted a looser fit. I also have a bit broader shoulders than the average girl. Hope that helps! I really love the jacket.
It does! I also have broad shoulders for my height. I’m 5’2. I think a S should work for me then if I want to keep the length… I’ll have to try this on!
This look is super cute!! I have an oversize denim jacket in a moto style that I absolutely love! I’m already looking forward to pulling it out of storage and integrating it into my capsule wardrobe. I love the whole outfit!
Sounds cute Karin! Can’t wait to see it! :)
Love the baggy jacket! :)
Thanks Samantha! It’s a fun change. :)
