Seasons and salt blogHi friends! Here’s a little snippet of my week in links. :)

1) The Lively Show. I’ve been really into podcasts lately. It’s a great way to learn about something new or a new perspective in a rather easy way. I find I like to listen to podcasts if I am traveling somewhere solo, or while I edit photos even. The Lively Show has been on my rotation for the last several months. Jess Lively is all about life with intention, and living out your values, and she always finds the most intriguing guests. June was money month and featured some amazing women entrepreneurs. When I listen to the Lively Show I feel like I can accomplish anything!

2) The Renegade Craft Fair. This is for you local or regional peeps. I have been eying some necklaces by The Salt Empire, and it turns out they will have all their jewelry in person next weekend at the Renegade Craft Fair! I had never heard of it until the other day, but it looks like a pretty cool event. I have been looking through the vendors list (they come from all over the country!) and I am spotting some amazing designers for all walks of life, wardrobe, home, and more. If I can make it I may just write a little blog feature for you guys!

3) One bag, three ways. Always one for beautiful utility, this bag has grabbed my attention. When style meets function I get pretty excited. Chic, effortless, and very well-styled in this post. Christmas list anyone?

4) Honey-Sweetened Almond Chocolate Chip Granola Bars. In the interest of keeping my always hungry children satisfied, I decided to make my own granola bars. I literally buy 3-4 boxes of them every week because they are the perfect take-on-the-go snack for when we are traipsing around the city, and my husband likes to take them as his breakfast. I wanted to make something healthier and tasty. These ones fit the bill nicely. When buying my organic oats in bulk from Winco and my almonds from Costco, these ones aren’t too expensive to make either!

5) The Original Mai Tai. A long time ago, before there were little Hartmans, Mr. Hartman and I sampled our way through the Mai Tai’s of Waikiki. We’re not normally rum drinkers these days (whiskey, please) but we decided to see if we could recreate a Mai Tai as a craft-style cocktail. Turns out you can, and it’s really tasty. If you close your eyes while you sip it, you might start to hear Iz play “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and feel the soft warm air of a Honolulu beachy night wrap around your shoulders.
