Motherhood isn’t something I write about a lot here on Seasons + Salt, and that is partly because it’s my escape from it. I loooove my children fiercely, but I need to be a separate person apart from them, and my blog is a large part of where I do that. However, on the topic of motherhood: I often struggle to find the balance between raising my three little people and pursuing my passions. Logistically, it is very challenging. How does one be a loving, present mom while pursuing her passions? Shauna Niequist shares why she thinks it’s vital to find a way to do both. >>Read It

And… Happy Father’s Day to my sweetheart and my middle. <3
I read the book last summer and I loved it! It made me want to live a fuller life, doing the things I love to do with the people that I love. But I don’t want to see the movie, ever! Ha!
I think I agree with – I’m not sure I want to see the movie either, haha! I watched the trailer right after I finished the book and yeah, that did not go well. I am not sure I’d want to pay money to go do that…
Those are some great takeaways from reading the book!
That book is on my list to read this summer! I love Miss Minimalists blog. It was her book, Miss Minimalists, that turned me on to a more simple way of living several years ago. I keep a fairly minimal calendar and my husband and I both make time every day for sitting quietly, reading or chatting with out electronics in the mix. Great links this week!!!
That is fascinating Rebecca! I will have to check out her book. Your approach to life is so inspiring to me, and I’d love to read what has inspired you!
